Example 1: Station 10 asked station 20 to relay to station 30.

  • HULLO 20, this is 10, RELAY TO 30, move now OVER.
  • 20, ROGER OUT to you… HULLO 30, this is 20, FROM 10, move now OVER.
  • 30, WILCO OUT.
  • HULLO 10, this is 20, MESSAGE PASSED OUT.

Example 2: Third station volunteer to do relay:

  • HULLO 10, this is 20, THROUGH ME, OVER.
  • 10, RELAY TO 30, move now, OVER.
  • 20, ROGER OUT to you… Hullo 30, this is 20, FROM 10, move now, OVER.
  • 30, WILCO, OUT.
  • HULLO 10, this is 20, MESSAGE PASSED OUT.

Example 3: Control(00) tells station 10 to RELAY THROUGH station 20.

  • Hullo 10, this is 00, RELAY THROUGH 20, OVER.
  • 10, ROGER OUT to you… HULLO 20, this is 10, RELAY TO 30, move now, OVER.
  • 20, ROGER OUT to you… HULLO 30, this is 20, FROM 10 move now, OVER.
  • 30, WILCO, OUT.
