Learn 09 - Correction

The proword is WRONG.

Example: Cancellation During Transmission: If the sender wishes to correct a word or phrase that he has just spoken, he uses the proword “WRONG” followed immediately by the last correct word or phrase before the mistake and then the correct version.

  • HULLO 00, this is 10, enemy tanks spotted at GRID ABBD, WRONG GRID ABCD, OVER.

Cancellation After Transmission: If a station has sent a message and later realises that a mistake has been made, he calls the stations concerned and after referring to the message, uses the proword “WRONG” to correct the part containing the error.

  • HULLO 00, this is 10, reference my message on enemy tanks WRONG GRID ABCD OVER.
